$1.7 Million Settlement for Construction Worker in Morris County, NJ Work Injury Case

On October 17, 2013, a former construction worker accepted $1.7 million to settle his Morris County, New Jersey work injury lawsuit against the parties allegedly responsible for injuries sustained in a 28-foot fall. Plaintiff was knocked off the structure he was working on when a crane operator lost control of a load of steel beams that hit him. The plaintiff suffered back and leg injuries that required surgery. Defendants in the case included the owner of the worksite, the general contractor, and subcontractors. The case settled at pre-trial mediation.
