$2.89 Million Verdict For PATH Employee In Middlesex County, NJ Slip and Fall Lawsuit
New Jersey Personal Injury Lawyers

A PATH employee was recently awarded $2.89 million by a Middlesex County jury in a workplace slip and fall lawsuit. The man slipped and fell as a result of a leaking water cooler at the Journal Square, NJ PATH station. An investigation revealed that the water cooler had been improperly maintained and that the drip tray was overflowing onto the floor. A reasonable inspection by the defendants would have revealed the dangerous condition and possibly avoided the accident. The plaintiff sustained two herniated discs in the accident, and continues to experience pain after spinal surgery. After a three day jury trial, the jury awarded plaintiff $2.5 million for pain and suffering, which was added to a previously agreed upon award for lost wages and medical bills, bring the total recovery to $2.89 million.
