Essex County Automobile Negligence Lawsuit Settles for $460,000

A plaintiff injured by a negligently operated taxi cab recently settled her Essex County, NJ personal injury lawsuit for $460,000. At the time of the accident, plaintiff was driving through an intersection in Newark when the driver’s side of her car was broadsided by the taxi cab. As a result of the accident, plaintiff sustained a fractured pelvis and ribs, in addition to a traumatic brain injury. Plaintiff’s current pelvic deformity will prevent her from giving natural childbirth and there exists a significant difference between the length of her legs. Plaintiff also suffers from short-term memory loss and residual pain symptoms. The driver of the taxi cab was charged with, and convicted of, assault by auto and refusal to take a breath test. The case settled prior to trial.
