Golf Course Accident Lawsuit In Monmouth County Settles For $1.35 Million

Wet leaves on a golf cart path caused a cart to lose control and flip, according to the plaintiff in a Monmouth County, NJ personal injury lawsuit that recently settled for $1.35 million. As a result of the accident, the plaintiff sustained a displaced fibular fracture that required open reduction surgery and placement of a plate and screws to fasten the bone. Additional surgeries at the site of the break were required due to poor healing of the injury. The settlement included the plaintiff’s pain and suffering, in addition to his wife’s claim for loss of consortium, which was significant because they had only been married a short time at the time of the accident and she provided him a great deal of post-accident care.
