New Jersey Personal Injury Lawyers

A construction worker who sustained injuries on a New Jersey worksite recently settled his construction injury lawsuit for $2.5 million. The plaintiff was injured while moving a boiler on a negligently constructed ramp during a commercial renovation job in East Caldwell, NJ. While in transit, the boiler fell off the ramp and on top of plaintiff, causing multiple open fractures of plaintiff’s leg. Plaintiff also broke a number of bones in his wrist and hand which required multiple surgeries. Ultimately, he lost full use of his hand and arm, and now suffers from depression secondary to his injuries. It was alleged in the lawsuit that the general contractor negligently constructed the ramp that the boiler off. The case settled prior to trial during a mediation with a retired judge.
