Paralyzed Bicyclist Settles Union County, New Jersey Personal Injury Action For $3 Million

A bicyclist who was rendered paralyzed after being hit by a truck trailer recently settled his Union County lawsuit for $3 million. The bicyclist was hit by a trailer attached to a landscaping truck that was making a turn off of West South Avenue in Westfield, NJ on May 2013. He became trapped under the trailer and had to be removed by emergency personnel at the scene. As a result of the accident, the 44-year-old plaintiff sustained a fractured spinal cord which left his legs paralyzed. The case settled during the pre-trial discovery phase of the lawsuit.
